Background:
The school'stands between the twin villages of North and South Rauceby, overlooking 'rolling countryside' and opposite the park of Rauceby Hall. It was built from local stone in 1842 and extended in 1966. In addition to facilities for physical education, technology, art and music, it also benefits from two acres of recreational land. Whilst acknowledging the importance of academic achievement, 'the emphasis is of developing every child's abilities and giving them a common experience'. There is a special educational needs (SEN) co-ordinator and a number of auxilliary staff who support children with these types of needs. Recently school aimed to have an ethos that is tolerant, civilised and fair. The school wants the children in their school to be happy; it wants the children to enjoy learning and wants them to be proud of Rauceby School.
