Background:

Worlaby is a community primary co-educational day school that provides education for pupils aged between four and 11. It is situated in a relatively small village and mainly serves Worlaby and the neighbouring village of Bonby. The school is comprised of three classes, two of which are located inside the main building and the remaining class is in a mobile classroom outside. Each class is carpeted, fully equipped with at least three computers and has its own well stocked reading area. A central reference library is located in the main school. The school aims to provide a broad and balanced curriculum, which gives children the knowledge and skills necessary for their future needs. Information technology is an integral part of the curriculum. There are internet and email facilities in all classrooms. The school has access to an all-weather sports facility, which enables participation of games activities throughout the winter months. Children have the opportunity to play football, netball, rounders, tennis, rugby and hockey. Arts and music are taught in line with national curriculum requirements. The school has a lunchtime gardening club, French club and recorder club. Children can also learn to play guitar, clarinet and cornet lessons. The school ethos establishes a positive and caring atmosphere in which the children feel secure and valued as individuals.
