Background:
St Bede's is the Catholic Secondary College setup between Peterborough and Lincoln. Since 2004 the college has gained the science status. New science laboratory and refurbishment has been completed in July 2004. The school has its own playing fields. A special emphasis has been placed on local community link especially with our Feeders Primary Schools. Facilities are very modern, all classrooms have Information and Communication Technology projectors and screens. Fund-raising is frequently undertaken Eg Tsunami, CAFOD etc. The school's curriculum includes subjects like Statistics, Russian, Spanish etc and national curriculum subjects. The school aims to create Catholic community, which recognises the central importance of relationships and which puts into practise Catholic principles that is a community which explicitly concerns itself with each individual via awe and wonder. The school provide a supportive environment, which recognises each individual's god given talents and encourages students aspirations and creates opportunities for all.
