Background:
St Andrews is housed in a modern building, having been rebuilt in 1971. It has six permanent and two temporary classrooms, a hall, a purpose-built design and technology room, two libraries, and a computer 'mini suite'. The school is situated in a rural location with 'ample field space in well kept grounds'. It is oversubscribed with 40 applicants for 32 places. Fourteen extra-curricular activities are currently offered, including art, craft, science, computing, football, netball and choir. In addition the school offers musical lessons in piano, cornet, saxophone, trumpet, flute, clarinet, violin and cello, all of which need to be funded by parents. St Andrews has 'strong' community links and currently raises funds for the Ugandan School for the Deaf and supports the Lincolnshire Air Ambulance. The school aims to 'serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice'. It 'encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith and promotes Christian values through the experience it offers to all its pupils'.
