Background:
Cliffedale School was opened in September 1976 and is a primary school for children aged four to 11. It is situated on the Manthorpe Estate, which is one mile from the centre of Grantham, just off the A607 Grantham to Lincoln road. The buildings are modern and consist of 11 well-resourced classrooms, a hall, three library areas, a music room and a resources room. Each set of classrooms has access to well-resourced information technology facilities. Pupils are provided with opportunities to experience a variety of applications of information technology and are encouraged to realise its role in everyday life. Children are given opportunities to learn the recorder and a limited number of children learn violin and cello through tuition from peripatetic teachers. The school aims to provide a safe and stimulating environment for learning.
