Background:
Ketton Primary School is situated in the county of Rutland, and is very close to the Lancashire border and the town of Stanford. It is a small voluntary controlled, village school with a Church of England Foundation. It has close links with the local Church and with the other denominational Church groups in the village. The pupils are drawn mostly from Ketton but also from its surrounding villages. A wide range of extra-curricular activities are offered at lunchtime and after-school. These include football, netball, cross-country, rounders, kwik cricket and writing. Educational visits are also organised to enhance the curriculum. The school believes that a child has a right to a stimulating, well disciplined environment in which to recieve an education suited to his or her ability.
