Background:
North Scarle Primary School is a primary school for boys and girls. The age range of the pupils is four to 11. The school is a small village in the extreme mid-west of Lincolnshire and the Nottinghamshire border runs less than half a mile from the school. It has always played a very active part in the village community and likewise the local community and environment have greatly helped to enrich and broaden the curriculum of the school. It is a part of national grid for learning programme and is equipped with e-mail and Internet facilities. The school has a recorder group that plays in assembly and on special occasions. There is also an opportunity for any child with a guitar to learn at lunchtime. It provides a wide range of extra-curricular activities including: football, netball, hockey, basketball, rugby and volleyball. It provides lunchtime and after-school activities to enhance learning. The school aims to provide a place in which children can become caring about others and the natural environment.
