Background:
Reepham Church of England Primary School is in a rural area three miles north-east of Lincoln. It was built in 1859 by Reverend J Jones and placed under government control in 1951. Two new classrooms and a library area were built in 1988, followed by three more classrooms, a hall and an administration block in 1994, and a further classroom and new school playing field in 2000. French is taught in addition to the National Curriculum subjects; sports include football, cricket, netball and rounders. Extra-curricular clubs include recorder, guitar, gymnastics, netball, football, cricket, computers and SHOUT (Scheme to Help Others by the Under Twenties). Each year, a different charity is chosen for pupils to support. DfES achievement award (2003); Beacon status (2001); helps other schools with a variety of activities. Ethos: 'The school promotes good relationships, high standards, care for others, the school building and other people's property'.
