Background:
Spalding St Paul's Community Primary and Nursery School is a community primary school with a nursery, catering for children aged between three and 11. The school is on Queens Road near the junction with Holland Road and was opened in 1955 when much of the neighbouring estates were built. The building is modern in design and very spacious with a nursery classroom, seven large classrooms, a special needs room, hall and an extensive and attractively decorated library. The school has a brand new playground and is pleasantly situated in grounds of six acres with a large playing field, trim trail, willow tunnel, mature trees and gardens. The school curriculum covers the following subjects: English, reading, mathematics, science, information and communication technology, history, geography, art, design and technology, music, physical education, religious education, collective worship and sex education, personal, social and health education. It has a wide variety of after-school clubs including football, netball, cricket and rounders. The school aims to provide a happy and safe and caring environment.
