Background:

Ingoldsby School was established in 1879 and has undergone many changes since that time. It is now a primary school catering for boys and girls between the ages of four and 11. The school is situated midway between the villages of Ingoldsby and Lenton and provides primary education for the children of Ingoldsby and neighbouring villages. It is a small, rural school with a friendly, caring atmosphere in which each child can receive individual attention. The school runs a number of extra-curricular clubs during the school week such as cross-country, netball, football, athletics, music for the early years, chess and recorder and gardening club.
