Background:
The Peele School was opened in April 1958. It is situated in the parish of Lutton. The raising of the school leaving age in 1973 brought a significant building programme, adding the sports hall, Year 11 common room and several classrooms. The school has been developed to accommodate modern teaching techniques. A science laboratory and the design technology area were refurbished recently. The library was extended to create a learning resources centre and the more recent work was the construction of an all-weather pitch. In addition, a newly installed ICT network allows pupils to access the internet. Students have the opportunity to represent the school in a variety of different sports. There is a group called 'Friends of The Peele School' that has been actively supporting the school for many years through fundraising and voluntary work. The school is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment with equal opportunities for all.
