Background:
Ryhall CofE Primary School was opened in its present location on the southeastern side of the village in 1963, and received extensions and an extra half-acre of land in 1990. The school consists of a hall, kitchen and seven classrooms. The school grounds contain a wild conservation area, a heated learner swimming pool and a large field for sports and games. Older children use Stamford school's pool for swimming lessons. Indoor facilities include a computer in every classroom. A variety of extra-curricular musical and sporting activities is offered, plus computer and art clubs. Pupils can also receive music tuition. Links with the community are strong and children are encouraged to support a variety of charities. There is a thriving 'Parents and Friends' fundraising group and staff seek to maintain a partnership with parents. The school aims to create a relaxed environment in which each child may develop intellectually, spiritually, physically, aesthetically and socially, in order to realise the highest potential he/she is capable of achieving.
