Background:
Stallingborough CE Primary was founded as a Church school in 1849. The school's new premises, in grounds surrounded by open countryside, were opened by the Bishop of Grimsby in 1980. The village of Stallingborough has close links with the school and the Friends of Stallingborough School, an association of parents, grandparents, staff and friends, works to nurture these links whilst raising funds for equipment for the school. Events organised by the friends have included summer fun days, a fashion show, an auction evening and jumble sales, along with games evenings and discos for the children. The school also raises funds for charity. The school aims to provide a calm, caring and stimulating environment.
