Background:
The Lincoln Bishop King is a Church of England co-educational primary school with an attached nursery unit. It is the only Anglican voluntary aided school in the city. The school has a large playing field, which is used for athletics, football, cross-country and rounders. The school building comprises of six separate blocks. There is a well-equipped ICT suite and in addition the school has recently obtained six laptops, which children are able to use in the classroom. The school offers various extra-curricular activities in sports and music that take place during lunchtime and after-school. Visits are regularly made to places of interest in the city and the surrounding areas as a means of providing stimulus for learning. The school also arranges fundraising for charity. The school aims to create an environment where children realise their potential within a Christian setting.
